Editorial Standards
Last updated August 1, 2026
These standards describe how VoltaraNews treats aggregated feeds, original stories, corrections, and reader tips. They sit alongside our Terms and Privacy Policy.
01Our editorial mission
VoltaraNews exists to make serious news easier to read: sharp headlines, calm layout, and honest attribution. We combine aggregated reporting from established publishers with original stories when our newsroom publishes them.
02How aggregation works
For aggregated stories, we pull publicly available RSS feeds, extract readable article text where possible, and store the original publish time, source name, and a link to the publisher’s page. We do not present aggregated work as our own reporting. Readers should use “View original” when they want the publisher’s canonical presentation.
Automated extraction can miss updates, paywalled passages, or corrections published after our sync. If something looks wrong, check the source—and tell us via Contact.
03Original reporting
Original VoltaraNews articles are labeled as such. They follow ordinary newsroom expectations: verify facts before publishing, distinguish news from opinion, and correct errors promptly when we learn of them.
04Independence
Editorial decisions about what we publish originally and which feeds we enable are made to serve readers. Sponsored or partner placements, if ever introduced, will be clearly labeled and kept separate from news judgment.
05Corrections and clarifications
For original articles, we correct substantive errors as quickly as practical and note meaningful corrections on the story when appropriate. For aggregated articles, the authoritative correction path is usually with the original publisher; we may also update or remove our copy after a sync or a reader report.
Send correction requests to contact@voltaranews.org or use the Contact form with topic “Correction.”
06Tips and sources
News tips are welcome at contact@voltaranews.org. We cannot promise to pursue every tip. Do not send unlawful material. If you need confidentiality, say so clearly in your message and avoid including sensitive personal data about others unless necessary.
07Reader feedback
Standards evolve with the product. If you see a gap between this page and how the site behaves, write to us—we treat that as a product and trust issue, not just a legal one.
